World Hope Youth Mentors (WHYMentors) Launches This Week! (Feature photo is Mary Kurek with her mentee Marley Dozier)
We’re delighted to announce that the World Hope Youth Mentors (WHY Mentor) program officially launched last week in partnership with the Sub Saharan Open University in Nigeria.
The WHY Mentors pilot program matches 23 mentees from 5 countries (3 in Africa) with mentors from 7 countries for the purposes of elevating career and entrepreneurial development as well as to expand cultural boundaries.
As you may already know, the need for this was revealed in The Introducer #14 – Developing Youth as Global Citizens: The Survival Mission. Since then, we’ve been working hard behind-the-scenes with many of you to set-up this groundbreaking program. We’re proud that many of you stepped forward to volunteer as mentors and that we’ve found a cohort of promising mentees for the pilot.
The quality of League mentoring was illustrated when one of Dr Osita Aniemika’s mentees, Trudy Masembe, provided this testimonial:
“It was such an honor meeting Dr. Osita Aniemeka today. I can never be more grateful than I am. He literally went over every detail of our project. Additionally, he gave a new breath to our envisaged youth entrepreneurship program and we are now committed to not only working hard and smart but also from a point of confidence with the right foundation.”

The Introducer – 16th EDITION OCT 2019 – The Business of Saving Our Planet: Climate Change & Circular Economy
Climate change is one of biggest global issues of our time that is affecting all of us. In the latest edition of The Introducer, we go on a journey with the game changers who’re tackling this issue head-on. From this edition, one of the program leaders has been invited into the WHY Mentors program and we’ve started making introductions relative to the amazing sustainability applications for algae (particularly in agriculture), thanks to David Ramjohn. There’s more…
Find out about Stephen Fern’s work as the Chairman of G9 Ark working with global business families to drive private capital into Impact, and developing a plan to end the climate crisis. In our feature with David D. Ramjohn, discover why microalgae can reverse the global warming that drives climate change. David’s article got so many people talking that it’s been featured in other news channels. Take a look at the article HERE.
The circular economy is the antithesis of climate change: it’s based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems (Ellen MacArthur Foundation). Again, we meet some fantastic game-changers who seek to integrate these principles into their personal and professional lives.
