[UPDATE – JULY 2019] 14th Edition The Introducer – Developing Youth as Global Citizens: The Survival Mission; Blockchain Women Still Leading the Way

The Introducer: 14th EDITION JULY/AUGUST 2019 Developing Youth as Global Citizens: The Survival Mission

The 14th Edition of The Introducer, released this month, has already set in motion a phenomenal global chain reaction to empower young people as tomorrow’s leaders.  This is just the tip of the iceberg – when the featured gamechangers and Youth Impact League members start collaborating in earnest, we’re expecting some incredibly exciting developments.  This is a flavor of what you can discover in this issue, showcasing some of the many global players who have a shared vision and mission for empowering young people.

In 2015, the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) launched its official youth initiative (SDSN Youth) to empower youth globally to create sustainable development solutions.  Powered by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), you can read more about their model here.

Then there are the visionaries who’re in key positions in different organizations and fully leverage the benefits of partnership working to join the dots for young entrepreneurs to thrive.  Dr. Osita Aniemeka in Nigeria is one such person.  He is training youth as entrepreneurs and “agropreneurs” to industrialize Nigeria.  Take a look here to find out more about his inspirational work.

We also meet some of the young leaders themselves such as Youth Impact League Game Changer, Alejandro Gaytan, who’s already well advanced on his own social impact journey and he’s still only 16!

So, what does this all mean for The Youth Impact League, part of The Frontrunners League?  A Youth Mentoring Project with Gamechangers is the answer.  Learn more here.

Converge2Xcellerate Conference – exciting partnership between The League and Partners in Digital Health

Mary Kurek is delighted to announce that the Frontrunners Development, Inc. & Publisher of The Introducer Magazine is partnering with Tory Cenaj, CEO of Partners in Digital Health on the 3rd Annual Converge2Xcellerate Conference to be held October 15, 2019 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Partners in Digital Health publishes the ATA-endorsed Blockchain in Healthcare Today and Telehealth and Medicine Today.

Mary explains, “blockchain has been a reappearing topic in several impact spaces we’ve explored in The Introducer over the last couple of years.  In fact, Tory Cenaj was featured in the 11th edition that spotlighted Women Leaders in Blockchain.  We’ve seen an emergence of blockchain as a point of conversation with innovators working in healthcare, and we know that will grow.  So, we’re excited to assist in this event that will educate, inspire, and provide a think-tank environment for exploring best practices.”

The Introducer’s partnership role is that of Media Partner.  We will be sharing news and information about the conference, information about the Abstract Competition that is happening now, and take-aways from the conference afterward.  For more information about Converge2Xcelerate, visit  https://conv2x-2019.eventcreate.com/

Aiming high…for the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro!

We knew that Joe Hitt (The Introducer – #12 The Real Value of HealthTech) aimed high (he took one of his companies from 3 to 300 employees in 36 months!).  However, in between leading the way as CEO of GoX Labs, which has included developing the first powered prosthetic leg showcased on the Discovery Channel with a Special Forces amputee running at 8 mph only 4 months after losing his limb in combat, he’s somehow managed to squeeze in the very challenging climb up Mt Kilimanjaro (Tanzania).

Check out the photos above to see more about this awesome trip with the team of eight.

Women Leaders in Tech are Changing the World!

[Europe] Grant funding available for Women-Led HealthTech Start-ups

We’d like to thank Elizabeth Chee (#womenblockchainleaders group of The Frontrunners League) for drawing our attention to this fantastic opportunity which we’re delighted to share with you.

Women Startup Challenge Europe HealthTech was recently launched in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, JLABS and Office of the Mayor of Paris to fund and showcase women-led healthtech startups.

Because only 9.7% of venture capital funding goes to healthtech startups led by women. Leaving the world’s healthcare only in the hands of men inevitably leads to the creation of products that are blind to biases. And these biases can be deadly.

The Women Startup Challenge HealthTech will be held at City Hall in Paris, France. Prizes include $50,000 as an equity-free cash grant, one-on-one meetings with investors, among other critical startup services.

[Sept 25, 2019, UK] Blockchain Live Festival

Chrissa McFarlane, (The Introducer – #11 Women Leaders in Blockchain) would love interested League Members to have the BlockChain Live Festival on their radar.  Taking place in London this Fall, it certainly looks like an event that’s perfect for our game-changing community!

Chrissa, Founder and CEO of Patientory, Inc, is one of the headline speakers.

Chrissa remarks: ‘This is the most impactful blockchain event in the UK, where we will focus on how to improve healthcare delivery with this technology and current projects addressing the improvement of overall care using blockchain technology’.

SupraFin: launches crowdfunding campaign

SupraFin is the first automated investment management platform (mobile & online) for cryptocurrencies/digital assets for individuals leveraging automation, algorithms and risk models.  Why do we love SupraFin so much?  Because, Liliana Reasor, Founder and CEO, is also a League Member (The Introducer – #11 Women Leaders in Blockchain) and we’re excited to track her journey at the cutting edge of tech.

Here’s the latest:

  • launching a crowdfunding campaign to offer equity in SupraFin (SEIS / EIS – for UK taxpayers) and working on a collaboration with Imperial College London.
  • early discussions with Santander as SupraFin’s vision is aligned with several of the technologies and spaces of interest to Santander.
  • early discussions with the CEO of a large financial institution who has expressed interest in SupraFin as a potential investor.
